AGS Teacher Fellows
Every year, AGS invites 50 Teacher Fellows to attend the annual Geography 2050 Symposium at Columbia University in New York. Fellows are APHG teachers from across the country who have the opportunity to convene with thought leaders from academia, government, industry, and the social sector who gather to discuss the major forces that will shape our planet’s future.
The Melamid Teacher Fellow Workshop is a series of special sessions before and after the Symposium specifically offered to the Teacher Fellows to help them explore ways to transfer the Symposium content to a classroom setting.
The Workshop is funded by a generous endowment from Mrs. Ilse Melamid, a long-time supporter of AGS.
