Research Interests:

Dr. Mullings is a Professor in the Geography department at Queen’s University at Kingston. She authored several publications and is currently working on three major projects with a research focus on the field of feminist political economy, social transformation, neoliberalism, and the politics of gender, race, and class in the Caribbean. More specifically, she’s interested in the long-term effects of neoliberalization in the Caribbean on the ways that citizenship and belonging is imagined, and on the ways that social justice is articulated, particularly within work regimes. Dr. Mullings has served on multiple editorial boards and has authored a number of peer-reviewed texts. She has presented in scholarship in Canada and abroad. Dr. Mullings is a past recipient of the AAG Susan Hardwick Excellence in Mentoring Award and co-recipient of the Ban Righ Foundation 2020 Mentorship Award.
